Cerebra
vascular accident is a very serious condition in which the brain is not
receiving enough oxygen to function properly and often results in permanent
serious complications and disability and is a common cause of death. These are the second leading cause of death in worldwide
according to the American Heart Association. Cerebra vascular accidents have two types. An
ischemic cerebra vascular accident, it occurs when a brain artery has been
blocked. Another hemorrhagic cerebra vascular accident, it occurs when an
artery ruptures or leaks.. Preventive measures include regular
medical care to monitor and address such risk factors as obesity, smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol, environmental tension and excessive alcohol consumption. Treatment also generally
requires long-term rehabilitation, including physio therapy & speech
therapy to help a person overcome the long-term effects and disability of a
cerebra vascular accident.
