Coxa vara is not a disease
 Congenital or infantile coxa vara is a condition of the neck of the femur in which there is retardation of ossification resulting in the typical deformity. This condition gives rise to an uncertain prognosis. Ossification can be encouraged by decreasing the coxa vara by doing an osteotomy.
